Obituary for Hayward Lee Wingfield Sr.

Hayward Lee Wingfield Sr., 69, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Glenn Arbor Hospice Residence. He was born on November 2, 1952, the son of Henry Wingfield and Rosetta (Ward) Wingfield.
Hayward was a graduate of Man High School in West Virginia. He was the owner of the Rib Shack, an auto repair shop and was a member of the band "Trouble Inc."
Hayward is survived by Son, Hayward Wingfield, Jr.; Step-Daughters, Hosannah Washington and Tawana Alexander; Step-Sons, Byron Alexander and Tyrone Alexander; Granddaughter, La'Keara Wingfield; 5 Step Grandchildren; Brothers, William Wingfield, Charles (Yolanda) Wingfield and James Wingfield; Sister, Nellie Mae Wingfield; Former Wife: Elizabeth Wingfield and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Brothers, Roger Felder, Harold Peoples and Larry Peoples; Sisters, Denise Ruffin, Loretta Legrand, Henrietta James and Terry Peoples.
Hayward enjoyed cooking, shopping, was an avid Detroit Lions fan, fishing, dancing and singing. He was a business man and owned several business' through the years.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Bethlehem Temple-Springfield, 610 Parrish Street, on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 12:00pm with Bishop Tony Thomas officiating.
