Obituary for Helen Huggett (Michajlszyn)
Helen Huggett, 94, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at the Glenn Arbor Hospice Residence. She was born on March 8, 1927, the daughter of John and Agnes (Kowalszyk) Michajlszyn.
Helen was a member of St. Philip Catholic Church. She was a devout Catholic and proud of her Polish heritage. She was a lifetime member of the Polish National Alliance (PNA).
Helen is survived by her Daughter, Sandra (Ron) Hunt; Grandson, Gary Jay (Kimberly) Jacoby; 6 Great Grandchildren, Great Great Grandchildren and Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Four Brothers and One Sister.
Helen enjoyed visiting with friends and relatives, gardening, dancing, traveling, participating in activities at the PNA and cooking Polish dishes. She was very artistic and creative, energetic and independent.
A private graveside service for immediate family will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery.
A celebration of life will take place at the Polish National Alliance, 15 Clair Street, Battle Creek, MI 49014, on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 starting at 12:00 pm (noon).
