Condolence From: Vickie Van Horn
Condolence: Dear Barb, Becky and Family, My sincerest condolences to all of you on the loss of your husband and father. I always enjoyed having a conversation with him. He was a very kind and gentle man. I am sorry I was unable to celebrate his life with all of you as I was out of town on a field trip with my daughter. I have many good memories working with Becky and know that such a special person was living proof of the kind of father that Hank was. I pray that your many good memories of him will bring peace and comfort to all of you. Sincerely, Vickie Van Horn Battle Creek, MI

Condolence: My deepest sympathy to Barb and the family in your time of sorrow. Hank and I hit it off from the day we met in 1983 as new employees at DLIS. Our similar experiences in private industry served as a common bond as we adapted to the public sector. We always had each other for consul when problems arose. Hank and I were golf partners for a numbers of years as well as bowling partners in both a men’s and mixed league. We reconnected in recent years when Hank joined our golf league at Marywood. Hank was a good husband, father and friend and will be sorely missed.
