Obituary for Henry Aubrey "Hank" Snoddy Jr.
Henry "Hank" Aubrey Snoddy, Jr., of Bellevue, MI, passed away on July 3, 2020 in Battle Creek, MI.
Henry was born in Richmond, VA as "Baby Jernigan" and adopted by his parents Henry and Myrtle Snoddy on May 3, 1940. In his younger days, he ran with a rough crowd (think 1950's Greasers), until he met his first wife - Jean Snoddy. He got married and went to school in Atlanta, GA, where he received his Bachelor's degree from Georgia State. He was a ladies man, and was married five
times and is the father to Eric, Bart, Kimberly and Randall Snoddy. He's also the step-father to Victoria Geiger, Heather Oliver, Michael Voss, and Corey Smith. He worked many jobs and moved around a lot.
He was a former US Marine, stationed in Okinawa during the peacetime between the Korean and Vietnamese wars. Henry liked to spend time outdoors - hiking, fishing and swimming. All of his children recall fond memories of times spent at lakes and creeks
Henry is preceded in death by Henry Aubrey Snoddy, Sr and Myrtle Tatum Snoddy.
Henry is survived by Tamara Smith (wife of 15 years), all children mentioned above and grandchildren: Marissa Snoddy and Emmalyn and Madilyn Voss.
Memorials may be given to Tamara Smith, at 9950 Love Rd, Bellevue, MI or you can make a donation in Henry's name to the Veteran Affairs. The family of Smith and Snoddy would like to extend sincere thanks to the nurses and hospice care that aided in Henry's peaceful departure from this world.
