Jacoba "Alice" Else Schoonhoven, 92, of Portage, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Bronson at Home Hospice Residence. She was born on March 6, 1925, the daughter of Charlotte VanDyke.
Alice is survived by Two Sons, Roy Edwin (Laurie) Schoonhoven of Kalamazoo, MI, Robert (Angie) Schoonhoven of North Carolina, Daughter-in-law, Debbie Schoonhoven. and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other loving family members, Mike (Gwen) Stockwell. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Charlotte VanDyke, Husband, Cornelius Schoonhoven and Son, Harry Schoonhoven.
Alice loved gardening and working with her hands. She enjoyed making arts and crafts. She liked to take boat rides with her family. She enjoyed camping with her late husband. Her family was her entire world. She enjoyed cooking for them and spending as much time with them as she could..
A private family service will be held at a later date.
