James Anthony Whitehead, 55, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 12, 2015 at home. He was born on March 31, 1959, the son of Phillip Whitehead and Sharron (Hall) Whitehead.
Jimmie graduated from Battle Creek Central High School.
Jimmie is survived by his two daughters, Jamie Antonette Whitehead of Battle Creek, MI, and Chenel Nelms of St. Louis, MO; son, Julius Whitehead of Anaheim, CA; 3 grandchildren, Zaden, Julius Jr., and Anthony; grandmother, Middie Whitehead of Atlanta, GA; two aunts, Donette and Charlene; Uncle, Walter (Gloria); special daughters, Mia and Daneeka; special friends, Jimmie (Jug) and Craig; a host of other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his Parents, maternal grandparents, Walter (Pearl) Hall and paternal grandfather, Willie whitehead.
Jimmie loved to watch sports. His favorites were basketball and football. He was a great man with a big heart who loved his family and his kids dearly.
A memorial service will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Friday, March 20, 2015, at 12:00 pm with of officiating.
