James Harold Etheridge, 78, passed away on Monday, Dec. 20, 2010. He was born Nov. 14, 1932 in Paducah, KY, the son of Audis Ray and Lena (Henley) Etheridge.
Jim was a 1950 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School and then served in the US Naval Reserve for 4 years. He was employed by Coca-Cola, City Food & Beverage and was the owner of Jim’s Henkes Market in Springfield, MI.
Jim is survived by seven children: Gayla (Brian) Murphy, Sandra (Billy/Steve) Taylor, Michael Etheridge, Richard (Elizabeth) Etheridge, Duane Etheridge, Martin (Pamela) Etheridge, James Kelly (Kristina) Etheridge; 25 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and brother Bob (Barb) Etheridge; Sister-in-law: Kitty.
He was preceded in death by his Parents; brothers: Ray Etheridge and Douglas Etheridge; and sister: Mary Louise Etheridge.
A private family service will be held. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Diabetes Assoc. or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
