James Alfred Leggitt, 46, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2019. He was born on July 5, 1973, the son of James Arthur Leggitt and Kathy Ann (Kelley) Farrington. He loved playing golf, fishing and kayaking. James loved to root on the MSU Spartans and the Green Bay Packers. James loved spending time with his family, especially with his granddaughter. He was very involved in the Life Recovery Program, which he graduated from on August 10, 2017.

James is survived by his mother; stepfather, Jack Farrington; stepmother, Katrina Leggitt; former wife, Teri Leggitt; daughter, Kelsi (Seth Kellogg) Leggitt; stepdaughter, Kristen (David) Masters; four brothers, Chad (Sheila) Farrington, Jimmie (Courtney) Jones, Kenneth Leggitt, and Kirt Rogers; four sisters, Tonya (Robert) Rhinard, Lynette (Nick) Farrington, Kimberly Laird, and Kelley (Thomas) Wagner; granddaughter, Ellie; several nieces and nephews and Special Friends, J.B. (Teri) Smith. He was preceded in death by his Father, James Arthur Leggitt.

In accordance with James' wishes, cremation has taken place and the memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 111 East Michigan Ave., on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in James' name may be made either to the family through Go Fund Me or the Life Recovery Program.
