Obituary for James L. Soule Sr.

James Lee Soule Sr. passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021, after so many years of fighting harder for life than anyone should ever have to, and very few could have successfully done. He can finally rest. He had a strong mind, heart and soul. Jim was an amazing woodworker and could create intricate and beautiful items with nothing more than a mental image. He was a powerful presence in any room he walked into and was fiercely protective of his family.

He was born April 19, 1960, in Battle Creek, Michigan to Donald Wayne Soule and Nancy Lee Soule (Haywood). He was a “Jack of all trades” and was a skilled roofer, bartender, concrete worker and landscaper. He enjoyed Rock n’ Roll, camping, playing guitar and spending time with his friends and family. He valued above all providing for the ones he cared for. He had a true warrior spirit, and he will be forever remembered.

He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph William Soule and father, Donald Wayne Soule. He is survived by his mother, Nancy Lee Soule; brothers, John and Jeff Soule; son, James Lee Soule Jr.; daughter, Jade Star Soule; nephew Pierce Thomas Soule; grandchildren, Jenisis Marie Soule, Abrianah Wilkey, Jaylen Soule, James Lee Soule III, Jacob Soule, Jozlynn Davis, Jakiah Davis, Willow Davis, Bryant Furman, Brayleigh Furman, and great-grand-daughter, Rosalei Tanner.

In accordance with James' wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial visitation will be held Saturday August 7, 2021, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at Baxter Funeral and Cremation Service. Donations can be made to (https:/gofund.-me/cbece3b3).
