Obituary for Janice Lee Ploehn (Klabbatz)
Janice Lee Ploehn, 78, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023 at Legacy At The Oaks. She was born on November 2, 1944, the daughter of Franklin L. Klabbatz and Elizabeth R. (Wissink) Klabbatz.
Janice was a lifelong resident of Battle Creek and graduated from Lakeview High School with the Class of 1963. Janice was employed at Kellogg's for 25 years until her retirement. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of the Kellogg 25 Year Club. After retirement, Janice and Leroy enjoyed worldwide travel. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, making baskets for family and friends and simply spending time with those she loved; especially her grandchildren. Janice volunteered at Cat's Cradle and loved taking care of the animals. She was known to help anyone that needed it, and always looked out for those around her.
Janice is survived by her husband, Leroy Ploehn; sons, Troy (Sandy) Ploehn, David (Julie) Radowski, Frank (Heidi) Radowski, Jason Ploehn; grandchildren, Misty (John) Fitzpatrick, Lacey (Alec) West, Erik (Kathleen) Radowski, Ashley (Alex) Moreland, Kiley (Greg) Blanton, Nathan Radowski, Anna Radowski, Karlie Ploehn, Jillian Ploehn; 6 great grandchildren and one more on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Jean Bennett.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral and Cremation Service on Sunday, March 5, 2023 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm.
Funeral Services will also be held at the Baxter Funeral and Cremation Service on Monday, March 6, 2023 starting at 11:00 am.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Calhoun County Humane Society or the Parkinson's Foundation.
