Jason JR Gonzalez, 36, of Battle Creek, Michigan passed away on February 11, 2021. He was born on July 20, 1984 to Salvador Gonzalez and Tracey (Dillard) Love. Jason was a very outgoing and fun loving child. He was always joking and smiling. While growing up he played hockey for the Battle Creek Bullets and enjoyed skateboarding with friends. Jason also loved music and rapping. You couldn’t be around him without him making rap about whatever he was thinking at that time. Everyone he came across with in life, loved his fun personality and has always had good memories with him. He attended Battle Creek Central, class of 2003, and was always in pursuit of a rapping career. Jason had such a great presence about him and will be missed dearly by all those who loved him.

Jason is survived by his mother, Tracey (Joe) Love; sister, Nicole Gonzalez; three brothers, Joshua Townsend, Johnny Love and Joey Love; daughter, Selena Gonzalez; nieces Ailah Townsend, Lydiah Love; nephews Cameron Dishman, Mateo Townsend, Ray Love, Keagan Love; grandmothers, Virginia Hall and Billie Dillard; Aunt Melody Needham; Cousins, Anthony Hagan, Zachary Hagan and Kali Gonzalez. He is preceded in death by his father, Salvador Gonzalez; brother, Anthony Mills and Uncle Roberto Gonzalez.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a family memorial service will take place at a later date.
