Obituary for Jason Matthew Piper

Jason Matthew Piper, 48 of Battle Creek, passed away unexpectedly into the
loving arms of his Heavenly Father, Thursday, May 5, 2022. He was born
May 20, 1973.
Jason graduated from Harper Creek High School in 1991, where he was a
standout wrestler and state qualifier his junior and senior year.
He also enjoyed playing high school baseball and cherished his 4 years of
high school football with his friends.
In his younger years he was found on the BMX race tracks where he
earned so many 1st place trophies that they filled his childhood home. He
traveled the country with his family, switching from indoor racing in major
event centers to the great outdoors in warmer weather.
He grew up in the country where his dad had him riding dirt bikes,
snowmobiles & tractors. He also spent numerous hours competing in
T-ball, baseball, soccer, basketball & floor hockey at the Wattles Park
Men’s Club facilities where his dad was “coach”. His love for swimming
began when he was just a toddler, he spent hot summer days swimming
with his sister and eating watermelon.
Jason was a skilled welder and sheet metal worker. He worked at J & J
Sheet Metal and the former Morse Bros. Sheet Metal. His vast talent at building
and repairing most things, often led him to lasting friendships.
Jason was known for his huge heart, if he loved you… you knew it. His
caring and compassionate attitude toward those he met and cared for
stayed with you.
Jason asked Jesus into his heart and had a personal relationship with Him.
Jason would want YOU to do the same.
Isaiah 41:10 Don’t be afraid, for I am with you, Don’t be discouraged, for I
am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my
