Obituary for Jerald Horton "Jerry" Curtis
Jerald Horton Curtis, 58, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2019 at home. He was born on June 21, 1961, the son of John Samuel Curtis and Frances A. (VanDenberg) Curtis.
Jerry graduated from Charlotte High School in 1979 and then furthered his education at ITT Tech in Fort Wayne, IN. He was a member of the Salvation Army and Redemption Lutheran Church, both in Battle Creek.
Jerry is survived by his Wife, Deborah S. (Holtz) Curtis; Mother, Frances (Vaughn) Curtis, Three Children, Victoria (Jeramy Garcia) Taylor, David (Rachael) Baker, Becky (Chris) Stehle; Ten Grandchildren, Alexandra Taylor, Zoey Taylor, Elijah Taylor, Christopher Horton Taylor, Julia Baker, Timothy Baker, Daniel Baker, Esther Baker, Elly Stehle, Andrew Stehle; Two Brothers, Jack (Britt) Curtis, John (Patty) Curtis Jr.; God-Son, Shaun M. Smith and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his Father and Brother, James Curtis.
Jerry's main passion in life was his children and grandchildren. He loved spending each moment watching them grow and playing with them. He enjoyed watching history on television, and reading as many books as he could get his hands on. He will truly be missed by those that knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Thursday, August 8, 2019 from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, with the Funeral service immediately following at 1:00 pm.
