Jerry "J.R." Ray Smith Sr., 67, of Battle Creek, Michigan, promoted to glory on Monday, January 2, 2023 at his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born on October 17, 1955, the son of James Palmer and Mary (Mercer) Palmer.
J.R. was a landscaper for Baron Landscaping in Tampa, Florida until he became ill.
J.R. is survived by his Sons, David Paul (Geneva) Blocker, James (Heather) Smith, Robert (Caitlyn) Smith and Jerry Smith, Jr.; Grandchildren, Troy Blocker, Franklin Blocker, Heather Blocker and Wesson Smith; Best Friends, Randy Conte and Jim Royer. He was preceded in death by his Parents; his Daughter, Heather Smith; Brother, Tony Smith and Sister, Nina Smith.
Jerry enjoyed time with his grandchildren, driving floats in parades, motorcycles, eagles and antiques.
A private memorial will be held.
