Jerry “Marcus” Miller Sr. went to be with the lord on Friday, June 16, 2017 in the comfort of his home. Jerry was born February 11th, 1951 to Joseph and Kathleen Prince-Miller in Battle Creek, MI. He attended Battle Creek Public Schools and graduated from Battle Creek Central in 1969. Jerry was into sports all throughout high school. He played basketball, football and ran track. To this day he still holds the record for the 440 yard dash, 440 relay and the 880 relay. Jerry was employed at Kelloggs. Jerry attended the University of Wyoming and Albion College. In his free time he enjoyed watching the westerns, spending time with his family and friends and listening to old school jams and jazz. Jerry was a great man that everyone knew and loved.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father Joseph Miller, mother Kathleen Prince-Miller, paternal grandparents Joseph and Ada Miller, maternal grandparents Earnest and Hattie Prince, and daughter Patrice Michelle Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his siblings: Joseph L. Miller of Eloy, Arizona; William H. Miller of East Leroy, MI; Betty L. Howlett (Otis) of Battle Creek, MI; Dianne Miller-Adamore (Allen) of Cincinnati, OH; Gregory Miller of Grand Rapids, MI; Sandra N. Miller of Battle Creek, MI; Connie D. Miller of Portland, OR; Deborah Crawford (Gerald) of Battle Creek, MI; his children Shannon R. Johnson of Nashville, TN; Jerry M. Miller Jr., of Marshall, MI; Tanya R. Miller of Battle Creek, MI; Tamika B. Wesley of Battle Creek, MI; two special sons Anthony Gibbs Sr. and Willie Wells, 6 grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
