Obituary for Jesse H. Metzgar
Jesse H Metzgar, 93, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2020. He was born on December 7, 1926, the son of Jesse Earl Metzgar and Esther Lucille (Broker) Metzgar. Jesse served his country in the US Navy during World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Agnes Arleen (Shears) Metzgar; two sons, Larry (Sue) Metzgar and Paul (Deb) Metzgar; daughter, Susan (Bob) Stewart; five grandchildren, Michael Fleming, Norman Metzgar, Marcus Metzgar, Ashley Metzgar and Ben Metzgar; three great-grandchildren, Zada, Addey and Leroy. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Harold Metzgar.
The visitation will be held at Baxter Funeral & Cremation, 375 W. Dickman Rd., Battle Creek on Friiday, July 10, 2020 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm and a private family graveside service will follow at the Fort Custer National Cemetery on Friday, July 10, 2020. Contributions in Jesse's name may be made to the American Heart Association, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674.
