Obituary for Joan I. Morgan
Joan Ione Morgan, 87, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2019. She was born on May 2, 1932, the daughter of the late Lyle Strickland and Marion (Warden) Alling. She retired from Clark Equipment Co. after over 20 years of service. Joan enjoyed playing cards, golf, bowling and was an avid slot machine player.
Joan is survived by her children, Bill Morgan and Susan Woodard; daughter-in-law, Dana Moses-Morgan; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Shirley VanderKlok; cousin, Buzzy Morgan Tiffany; four dear friends, Donna Horton, Carolyn Varilek, Beverly Pazder and Joan Puetz and her constant companion, Coco. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Deborah Morgan.
In accordance with Joan's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Contributions in Joan's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements entrusted to Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service.
