John Michael Kerwin, 66, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Rose Arbor Hospice. He was born on January 10, 1953, the son of Richard Kerwin and Patricia (Harvey) Kerwin.
John attended Gull Lake High School and Kellogg Community College. He honorably served in the Air National Guard Reserve and Air Force Reserve. He retired from Kraft Foods (Post) in 2008 and was formerly employed at Michigan Paperboard and Sullivan's Ice Cream.
John is survived by his Wife of 39 years - Karen Sue (Leins) Kerwin; Son, Peter (Kim) Kerwin; Daughter, Angela (Scott) Dilloway; Step Daughter, Lori Gauthier; Brother, James (Rita) Kerwin; Two Sisters, Jane Leach, Julie Kerwin; 5 Grandchildren & 3 Great Grandsons. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Brother, Jeffrey Kerwin, Grandson, Robert Barroso II, Niece, Jennifer Whalen.
John was a model railroader and enjoyed riding his Harley with his wife Karen. He loved all his dogs over 35 years and rescued seven dogs from area shelters.
Memorial services to celebrate the life of John will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, on Thursday, July 18, 2019 starting at 10:00am with Pastor Allen Henson officiating.
