John Anthony Korstange, 72, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2020. He was born on May 2, 1947, the son of the late Marvin Korstange and Virginia (Kuenzle) Korstange. He grew up in the Grand Rapids area and graduated from Wyoming Park High School. John attended Ferris State University. He worked as an auto mechanic for many years, he taught high school auto shop and woodshop. John then worked as a machinist for C&O Railroad and as a pipefitter for Canadian National (formerly Grand Trunk) Railroad.

John is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carolyn Sue (Waller) Korstange; two daughters, Jennifer Sue (Chris) Keeton and Cathryn Grace (Martin) Rochelle; four grandchildren, Cameron Keeton, Ashley Keeton, Lauryn Rochelle, Dylan Rochelle. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Holzgen.

John enjoyed model trains and boats. He was very skilled in building furniture for family and woodworking. In the last few years his passion was his 1931 Ford Model A Hotrod and going to car shows, the Gilmore was one of his favorites.

In accordance with John's wishes, cremation has taken place and a family memorial service will take place at a later date.
