Obituary for Jonathan David Rodgers

Jonathan David Rodgers, 54, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021. He was born on December 20, 1966, the son of David Leland Rodgers and Nancy Shirleen (Reed) Shafe.
Jon is survived by his Father, David (Wanda) Rodgers; Daughter, Kelsie LeAnn (Larry) Wagaman; Two Sons, Jacob Lee (Haley) Gunn-Jackson, Corey Shaffer; Four Grandchildren, William Neal Wagaman, Kaylin Marie Wagaman, Kadin Michael Wagaman, Emmett Thomas Jackson; Two Sisters, Teresa (Corey) Davis, Ginger (Tod) Howard; Brother, Randy (Evie) Wallace; Step-Father, Raymond (Chris) Keith Shafe Jr.; Nephews, Brandon Wallace, Lucas Davis and Sebastian Howard. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Nancy Shafe; Grandparents and Nephew, Tanner Guidry.
Jon was proud of keeping his family on their toes. They never knew what he was going to say or do, which always kept them smiling and laughing. He enjoyed painting, being creative and taking care of his Mother. He took care of his mother before she passed, and made sure that everyone in his family was taken care of as well. His family will miss his jokes, his smile and always being there to make them laugh. No one will ever be as lucky as he was playing his daily #3 and daily #4.
Family will receive visitors from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Monday, March 15, 2021 at the Baxter Funeral and Cremation Service, with the memorial service to celebrate the life of Jon starting at 4:00 pm.

In accordance with the current state and federal guidelines attendance is limited to 25 persons. Live stream capabilities will be available to all those that are not able to be in attendance.
