Obituary for Jonathan Keith Stillwell

Jonathan Keith Stillwell passed away on August 20, 2021 in the arms of his wife Amy, after a long battle with cancer. He was born on May 6, 1969 in Battle Creek, MI. (His parents: Leigh and Judy Stillwell).

Jonathan “Jon” “Boss Man” is survived by his wife, Amy Stillwell, his mother, Judy Kay Stillwell, three sons, David (Britney), Nicholas (Raelee) and Brendan, Three daughters, Savanna (DJ), Samantha, and Miracle, Sixteen grandchildren, Gavin, Hailie, Paislie, Kansas, Kade, Chaz, Skylar, Hayden, CJ, Siena, Arrianna, Ryder, Amaya, Nevaeh, Ember, and Baby B, One brother, Jeffery, Two sisters, Melissa and Shelly, His Grandmother, Elaine Loosier, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death, both of his fathers, Leigh Richard Stillwell and Henry Allen Spicer.

Jon was a graduate of Gull Lake High School, class of 1988. He loved to play high school football, and also was a track runner.

He also loved hockey, camping, RC cars, golf, football, and spending time with his family (especially his grandchildren). He loved to travel and explore every city and state that he could. Jon was often looking for the nearest stream, hiking trail, and campground for entertainment while traveling. Jon was a simple man. He enjoyed the wilderness and nature over the big city.

Jon was a small business owner. After 23 years of lawn care service, he owned a small restaurant, then later owned and operated a liquidation company (Stillwell Store Fixtures LLC.). Jon loved his job, he also loved his employees.

After a lifetime of friendship, meeting for the first time in the 4th grade, and staying friends all throughout Jr. High, and Highschool. 16 years later Jon and Amy (his now wife) reunited, and finally married. (June 6, 2008) Instantly, in their relationship, the 2 families became whole. With Jon taking on the role as a father to 4 more children (making that 6 children in total). He raised and treated every single one as if they were all his own.

Jon was a very hardworking, and loving man. He will be greatly missed by every person he has ever came across in his life. He could bring a smile to anybody.

Family Over Everything, and Stillwell Strong forever!

A celebration of life will be held for Jon on Saturday, August 28, 2021. The schedule goes as followed:

Service will take place at 12pm at Niko’s Landing (5852 King Hwy, Kalamazoo, MI 49048)

Burial will take place at 1:30pm at Comstock Cemetery (Oran Ave)

Luncheon will take place at 2:30pm, back at Niko’s Landing.

All are welcome to attend the burial after the service or remain at the banquet hall to conclude with the luncheon.

The family is asking that any monetary donation be made in the form of check or cash, written out to Amy Stillwell. Any money acquired is going to be used towards the education for Jon’s minor child.
