Josephine (Josie) F Norman, 78, passed away September 10, 2020. Josie, the daughter of Roscoe and Bell (Brown) Green, was born and grew up in Remus, Michigan. She moved to Battle Creek Michigan in 1960, when she married her love, Dewey W. Norman Sr. She graduated from Ferrari’s School of Cosmetology and Advanced Hair Design. She worked for a short time as a cosmetologist until she found her career in the insurance industry at TransAmerica Insurance and David Morris Insurance.

She enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking, and making jewelry for family and friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and family. She loved to laugh and always wore a smile. She was compassionate to everyone and had the kindest, most loving demeanor. She loved her family but her greatest joy was spending time with her grand and great grandchildren.

Josie leaves behind her loving family: husband, Dewey Norman; daughter, Tammy Reed; grandchildren, Brandon Norman, Brittany Norman, MaKayla Reed and Kalel Reed; great grandchildren, Bronson, Veda, Brayson and Brevon Norman; siblings, Grant (Buzzy) Green, Lillian Haywood, Terri Green, Dewey (Duke) Green, Caroline Smith, Edward Green, Elizabeth Todd, Benjamin Green and several nieces and nephews. Josie was preceded by her father, Roscoe Green; mother, Bell (Brown) Green; sister, Deloris Snead; daughter, Carmen and sons, Dewey and Stephen.

In accordance with Josie’s wishes, cremation has taken place and her ashes will be interred at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
