Obituary for Joyce Ellen LaForce
Joyce LaForce, 89, of Battle Creek, MI, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2019. Joyce is survived by her husband of 64 years, Joseph LaForce, Jr., four children, Geri (Gallagher) DeBilzan, Joseph LaForce, III (Gloria), Greg LaForce, and James LaForce, and her sister, Kate Zerlak. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Gallagher. Joyce was a loving grandmother to her 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, and was an avid gardener and enjoyed landscaping LaVista Boulevard and her yard with beautiful flowers.
In accordance with Joyce’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at 2:00 pm. The family will be receiving friends the hour before the service. Interment will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joyce’s name may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
