Obituary for Joyce Marie Prince

Joyce Marie Prince, 82, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Calhoun County Medical Care Facility. She was born on March 18, 1934, the daughter of Donald and Marguerite (Stebleton) Ward.
Joyce was a Life Member Post 5319 VFW Auxiliary of Athens.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law Theressa Coss, Raymond Birmele son-in-law, Three Sisters, Keitha Brunner of Athens, MI, Gloria (Dan) Applegate of Athens, MI, Glenna Watkins of Boon, MI; 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her Father, Donald Ward, Mother, Marguerite Ward, Daughter, Diane Birmele, 4 Sons, Roger, David, Douglas, and Donald Coss, Husband, Ralph Coss, Husband, Virgil Prince, Sister, Shirley Moore, Brother, Lawrence Ward.
She enjoyed sewing Halloween costumes, quilts, and baby clothing. She was a member of a mixed bowling league for 17 years. For 25 years she walked the Mackinaw Bridge and camped in Mackinaw City. She went with her entire family and played cards and crafted for a week. Additionally, she owned a ceramic shop and made many porcelain dolls which she gave to her grandchildren. Blown glass was one of the collections that she maintained. In the early 80's she won a small lottery and traveled to Hawaii with her husband to celebrate.
