Obituary for Juanita Tallent
Juanita Tallent (Swafford), 97, passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022 in Battle Creek, MI. She was born and raised in Dayton, TN, then moved to Battle Creek in 1950.
She was a homemaker her whole life and she volunteered at the Franklin Center and later at Cherry Hill Manor where she helped serve free meals. She loved feeding all the wild animals that would come around and also loved playing the daily lottery.
On September 7, 1940, she married Henry Tallent in Dayton, TN. Henry preceded her in death on August 12, 1987. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jackie Tallent and her grandson, Ken Tallent. She is survived by her grandchildren, James Tallent and Diane (Ray) Ross of Battle Creek, MI and John Tallent of Marshall, MI; 9 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
