Obituary for Karen Mary Pehrson (Andren)
Karen Mary Pehrson of Battle Creek passed away on June 20, 2019. She was born in Detroit, MI, on October 25, 1939, to Viking and Dorothy Andren, and she grew up in Howell, MI.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Judith Andren and by her brother, Terence Andren.
Karen will be greatly missed by her sons, George and Joseph Pehrson; her daughter-in-law Lisa Hyatt; her sister Theresa Rauth (married to Frank Rauth Sr); her sister Patricia Ebersole (married to Ralph Ebersole); her brother Michael Andren; and her many nieces and nephews.
She retired from the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Battle Creek after working there for many years as a phlebotomist. Her hobbies included books, crossword puzzles, gardening, and watching Jeopardy daily.
A visitation to honor the life of Karen will be held at the Baxter Funeral and Cremation Service on Saturday, June 29, 2019 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm, with a wake to follow at Karen's home.
