Karl William Zimmerman, 84, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at his home. He was born on October 22, 1939, the son of George Christian Zimmerman and Beatrice Viola (Manning) Zimmerman.

Karl was an avid member of the Calhoun County Horse Breeders Association. Through his whole life, he participated in many fairs including, Barry County, Branch County and St. Joseph County 4-H Fair. His passion for horses ran deep starting from growing up on the family farm all the way through his adult years. He also participated in handgun silhouette shooting and taught his children the importance of handling and respect for firearms. Karl was an avid fisherman and hunter, he liked to travel in his motor home and saw many states while owning and operating his own trucking company. Karl enjoyed watching NASCAR and everyone knew not to call him when the race was on!

Karl is survived by his children, Georgenia Kilbourn, Timmy Zimmerman, Wayne Zimmerman and family; grandchildren, Curtis (Ashley) Kilbourn, Sara (Steve) Kilbourn-Jufer; 4 great grandchildren and sister, Connie Zimmerman. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Diana Zimmerman; infant son, Garry Zimmerman; brother, George Zimmerman; and sisters, Reva Asbury, Beverly Zimmerman.

Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral and Cremation Service on Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 10:00 - 11:00 am with the funeral service following at 11:00 am.

Interment will take place at the East Hickory Corners Cemetery.
