Karran "Putsie" Jeanne Wickwire, 74, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 22, 2019. She was born on July 2, 1945, the daughter of Alvin Julius and Margaret Marie Monarch-Davidson.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Step-Father, Henry Lloyd Davidson, Husband, Richard James Wickwire, Brother, Monty Monarch and Sister, Diane Thurman.
Karran is survived by her Daughter, Shann Lourraine (Benjamin) Leatherman; Son, Rusty James (Cathy) Wickwire; Four Grandchildren, Sydney Kalice Leatherman, Vincent Javid Leatherman, Riley James Wickwire, Ryder James Wickwire; Three Brothers, Alvin Monarch, Dave Monarch, Loren Monarch; Four Sisters, Janet Schefer, Debbie Pullen, Dawn Watson, Valerie Thurman.
Karran received her high school diploma from Harper Creek High School. She was a member of the Kellogg 25 Year Club and the Carpenters Union as the First Registered Woman Carpenter in Michigan. Karran was very patriotic, loved the red, white and blue and supported/appreciated all of the military men and women for their service.
Karran enjoyed golfing and bowling, she participated on many teams and leagues throughout the years were she won many awards and trophies. She enjoyed parties, hosting and attending. She especially loved the holidays, where all her family could get together. Her family meant the world to her, she loved helping her children, grandchildren and anyone else that needed it. She leaves a lot of cherished memories with all those that knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, on Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, with the service immediately following at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research in honor of Karran.
