Kathleen Sarah Caswell-Potter, 62, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on July 21, 1961, the daughter of Dewey James Caswell Sr. and Harriet Jane (Harding) Caswell.

Kathy attended Battle Creek Central High School and received her diploma through Miller Stone Adult Education ESL in Battle Creek. She married Douglas Potter on June 26, 2009 and the two have spent the remaining years together.

Kathy had a love for singing, making jewelry, taking care of animals and taking trips to Florida. Her main passion in life however was her family; her children and grandchildren were the light of her life and she treasured the time she got to spend with them.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Douglas Potter; children, Sarah Jane Caswell, Joseph Michael Akers-Caswell, Cristine Marie Potter, Charlene Mary Jane Rodgers, Leah M. Nash, Gene Anne Potter; 9 grandchildren; father, Dewey James (Vickie) Caswell Sr.; siblings, Richard (Terri) Caswell, Dewey (Gayla) Caswell Jr., Sandra (Cheryl Champine) Knott, Charles Caswell Sr., Shellie Caswell, Nick (Courtney) Caswell, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Harriet Jane Caswell.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at the Baxter Funeral and Cremation Service from 12:00 - 1:00 pm with the memorial service to follow at 1:00 pm.

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of South Central Michigan or the ASPCA in memory of Kathy.
