Kay Joanne Traister, 80, of Dowling, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 8, 2019 at Stone Ridge Assisted Living. She was born on May 7, 1939, the daughter of Irl Gillaspie and Florence (Mattson) Wagner.
Kay was a 1958 graduate of Lakeview High School. She was employed at Post Cereal for 36 years until retiring in 1992. Kay attended the Overflow Church in Battle Creek.
Kay is survived by her Two Daughters, Cindy K. (Donald) Rude, Vickie E. (Robert) Zickus; Three Sons, Terry Lee (Robin) Traister, Dale A. (Brenda) Traister, Mike A. (Sherrie) Traister; Brother, Jerry (Pat) Gillaspie; 16 Grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Parents and Husband, Ralph Alan Traister.
Kay enjoyed scrap booking, quilting and traveling. She blessed many people by giving them a quilt. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She will truly be missed by those that knew her and loved her.
Family will be accepting friends on Friday, July 12, 2019 from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the Overflow Church, 3515 W. Michigan Avenue, with the memorial service to celebrate the life of Kay starting at 11:00 am with Pastor Jeff Davis officiating.
Interment will take place in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
