Kenneth  Orlo   Bradfield
Kenneth Orlo Bradfield, 87, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born on March 6, 1930, the son of Orlo Bradfield and Jessie (Workman) Bradfield.
Ken graduated from Dewitt High School in 1947. He served his country in the United States Army where he was stationed in Korea and Japan. During his time in the service, he delivered mail to the troops. He graduated 2nd in his class while in Postal School. Ken worked for Oldsmobile in Lansing for 39 years before retiring. He was a member of the Lansing Seventh Day Adventist Church where he served faithfully as a Deacon for 30 years before moving to Battle Creek.
Ken is survived by his Wife of 43 years - Ruth Ann (Kittrell) Bradfield of Battle Creek, Michigan; Two Daughters, Vicki Squires, Sally Bradfield; two step sons, J. David Piller, William Piller; step daughter, Lynda Piller-Essex; Sister, Judy Korte; Ten Grandchildren, Hayley Essex, Duke Essex, Jake Essex, Emma Piller, Eden Piller, Eros Piller, Jessica Squires, Daniel Squires, Angela Squires and Samantha Bradfield as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Father, Orlo Bradfield, Mother, Jessie Bradfield, Brother, William Bradfield.
Ken loved sports, any Michigan team was his favorite, (Go Spartans!) He had a love of skiing and playing different sports in his younger days. Ken was a very generous man, he lived his life to help other people. He never met anyone that he considered a stranger. He adored his family, and he loved his Lord and Savior. He was a wonderful man with a heart of gold.
