Kenneth Lee Thomas, born May 11, 1933 died December 28, 2020.
He retired from the City of Marshall, working in the water and electrical departments.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 34 years, Marilyn Thomas, and his second wife, Barbara Thomas.
He is survived by his son Kevin (Kellie) Thomas; Grandchildren, Kortnie (John) Fonner, Kiersten (Zach) Dembski and Kelsey Thomas & fiancé Sarah; Great Grandchildren, Keri & Hayden with another due in June.
He also has several brothers and sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. Ken was the oldest of 13 children.
Ken spent the majority of his adulthood listening to and going to NASCAR races. His favorite track was Michigan International Speedway and his favorite driver was Darrell Waltrip. He always wanted to retire to Tennessee to be closer to his driver.
Ken will be watching the BIG races from Heaven saying “BOOGITY, BOOGITY, BOOGITY Let’s go racing!”
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the Baxter Funeral and Cremation Service, 375 West Dickman Road, Battle Creek, MI 49037.
Private family burial will take place at a later date and time.
