Obituary for Kimberly Anne McLain
Kimberly (Kim or Kimka) Anne McLain, 49, passed away on Tuesday August 24, 2021, at her home in Battle Creek, Michigan unexpectedly. She was born on July 24, 1972, in Portland, Oregon to Marie Thorne.
Kim is survived by daughter, Allyssa McLain; mother, Marie McLain; stepfather, David McLain; significant other Nick, along with many friends and family.
The love of Kim’s life was her daughter, Allyssa! They enjoyed watching reality TV, shopping, and hanging out together. She also loved her cats, Lord McLain and Mr. Meowington.
Kim struggled with addiction early on in life, she came to Michigan to overcome her addiction where she found her passion in trying to help others battle their addiction as a substance abuse counselor where she changed many lives.
In accordance with the family’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial gathering at the end of September or early October in Washington State with family and friends.
