Larine A. Walstead, 56, of East Leroy, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at University of Michigan Health Systems surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 20, 1961, the daughter of Lynn A. Smith and Joyce A. (Olmstead) Smith.
Larine graduated from Athens High School with the Class of 1979. She was an active member in the Family Altar Chapel of Battle Creek. She went to the Vocational Center for her beautician's training and licensing. She then went to work at I I Stanley, Denso and Leroy Township Office, and was currently employed at the Calhoun County Clerks Office.
Larine is survived by her husband of 26 years - David Walstead of East Leroy, Michigan; step-daughter, Brittnee (David) Brice; Three Sisters, Lynne (Fred) Haack of Sherwood, MI, Janette (Jon) VanMiddlesworth of Climax, MI, Jolyn (Darrell) Sargent of Hamilton, OH; Grandson, Dane Brice; several in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her Father, Lynn A. Smith.
Larine loved to crochet. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, sunbathing, fishing and raising yellow labs. She loved listening to Christian music and attending Bible study. Larine loved traveling, especially to Florida with her family. Larine enjoyed spending time with her grandson and watching him grow. She was a wonderful woman that loved everyone and wanted everyone to be happy.
