Condolence: Last evening I was saddened to see the announcement in the shopper, but then a flood of wonderful memories of Larine came through. We first met at Don's Hair-O-cracy in Urbandale , she always had a smile on her face, would crochet in between clients, genuinely wanted to know how things were going, really listened and cared about you. She'd share what was going on in her life . Her family was so special to her. I can still hear her laughter when trying to push David around in the wheel barrow at their wedding, her determination every year when looking for her favorite food vendor at the Allegan Fair- and that big grin that came out when she found it, trying to dodge the raccoon parade coming back at night from Butler Motor Speed Way-, we would say "Up down up down M" anytime we passed the Marathon sign,(Her nephew was learning the alphabet and said that when we were in the car one time) and many many more. Even though our lives went in different directions, Thank you Larine for all those wonderful memories created from such a dear friend and that is what she was to so many people. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family. Marcy & Jeff

Condolence: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went to cosmetology school with Larine. I ran into her at a restaurant in Marshall quite a while ago and we said we needed to get together soon. I am so sorry we did not get the chance to do this. She was a wonderful person.

Condolence: Larine Smith Walstead and I went to Cosmetology school together. We both took and passed state boards together quizzing each other all the way to Lansing. She was a true blue friend being the only person in my life that had the guts to be a TRUE friend. She changed the course of my life. I will miss her.

Condolence: The first time I met Larine she was working in the Hair salon were I had previously worked, we hit it off right away. She was always full of laughter and smiles. We would always see each other in places where we both would normally not go! I believe there were God ordained appointments, just so we could see each other, hug and catch up! Latrine will always remain in my heart as a beautiful friend, with a wonder glow that came from the inside that would come out in her eyes and beautiful smile! She is now rejoicing with the Lord, in His comfy arms! To you her family, I pray that you find comfort and peace knowing that she is with her heavenly Father and her earthly Father. Hugs to you all! Goodbye my friend, I love you! Debbie
