Obituary for Larry Dean Fairchild
Larry D. Fairchild, 74, of Battle Creek, Michigan passed away February 11, 2020 at the Laurels of Bedford.
Larry was born January 11, 1946, the son of Harry Dell and Mary Lou (Huggett) Fairchild in Marshall.
He primarily worked his whole life as a truck driver. Larry had the distinction of driving the lead in a convoy of trucks to British Honduras, now Belize.
Larry was married twice, one ending in divorce and the second in separation.
Some of Larry's hobbies included motorcycles, Ham and CB radios, travel and sight-seeing and his pets.
Larry is survived by his three sons: Alaric (Nicole) Fairchild and granddaughter Alaina Mae, all of Oceanside, California; Martian (Melissa) Fairchild and granddaughters Emily Wood, Whitney Fairchild and Meagan Fairchild, all of Union City, Michigan; and Scott Fairchild of Batavia, Michigan. He is also survived bu his dog, Baby.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Barri; his brother Robert; sister-in-law Alyce Fairchild of Battle Creek and sister Phyllis and brother-in-law Floyd Foss of St. Charles, Illinois.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
