Obituary for Larry Alan McKee
Larry Alan McKee, 64, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at his residence. He was born on January 7, 1957, the son of Ralph and Esther (Sellars) Lee.
Larry graduated from Lakeview High School in 1976. After high school, he joined and honorably served in the United States Army from 1976 to 1982. Larry married the love of his life, Sandy Beatty on April 6, 1979. He worked at the HI-LEX Corporation for 18 years before his retirement in 2001. Larry was a member of the American Legion Post #54 in Battle Creek, MI.
Larry is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sandra (Beatty) McKee; son, Jason (Carla) McKee; daughter, Lyndie Edwards; son, Michael (Staci) McKee; grandchildren, Andrew, Zachary, Annabelle, Ethan, Alexander, Neil, Lillian, Austin, Jordan, Cameron, McKenzie, Emily; sisters, Linda (Brian), Charlene; special friends of the family, Kathryn McKee, Matthew Etheridge, Mark Davis and special friend, Tom (Denise) Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Jim.
Larry was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and rooting for the hometown sports teams. He was a dedicated family man, and always made sure that his family was well taken care of. He was proud of his family, and of the years that he served in the Army. Larry will be missed by his family, friends and all those that knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with the funeral service immediately following at 12:00 pm with Minister Mark Davis officiating.
Interment will take place in the Fort Custer National Cemetery.
