Lavina E. Hendrick, 88, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at The Oaks at Northpointe Woods. She was born on June 4, 1934, the daughter of Kenneth Lester Bye and Doris (Heemer) Bye.

Lavina was an avid knitter, she could make anything she set her mind to. She also enjoyed feeding the wild animals, bowling and fishing. She was born and raised on a farm and truly knew what the definition of hard work was. Lavina was a self proclaimed tractor mechanic, even if it always didn't turn out the way she thought it would. Besides taking care of her farm, she also worked in factories and health care.

Lavina is survived by her children, John (Geraldine) Willer, Rosemarie Moore, Allen (Kathryn) Hendrick, Adam Hendrick, Annie Booth, Butch Booth; 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and one brother and one sister. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Bye; mother, Doris Bye; daughter, Wannetta Willer and one brother and one sister.

At this time, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held in the spring.
