Obituary for Lavonne Dee Cropsey
Lavonne Dee (Phillips) Cropsey, 77, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on June 13, 1946, the daughter of the late Wallace Phillips and Lucy (Everett) Phillips.
Lavonne was a 1964 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a dedicated school bus driver for many years.
Lavonne is survived by her Husband of 56 years, Millard Cropsey; Sons, Samuel (Becky) Cropsey and Ryan (Lisa) Cropsey; Grandchildren, Trent Sanchez, Lilly Cropsey and Ben Cropsey; Special Nieces, Winona Tuggle, Sara Jane Waychoff and Lisa Walters.
She was preceded in death by her Parents; her Brother, Ernest "Bud" Phillips; Sister, Katy Loretta Carbine and Albert & Fleeda Hill who raised her.
Lavonne enjoyed crocheting, crafts, ceramics, watching birds, decorating for Christmas and flower gardening. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
A celebration of Lavonne's life will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
