Obituary for LeAnne Earls (Russell)
LeAnne Earls, 64, of Battle Creek, passed away on November 23, 2022 at her home with family by her side. LeAnne was born on June 20, 1958 to Jerry and Beverly (Keathly) Russell in Pontiac, Michigan.
She graduated from Centerline High School, Warren, Michigan in 1976. LeAnne spent decades working diligently as a secretary. In March of 2002, she married Barry L. Earls of Battle Creek, Michigan. They were happily married for 19 years until Barry's passing in 2021. LeAnne was an avid traveler, she enjoyed cruises with Barry, as well as vacationing in various countries around the world. Though she never had children of her own, she was like a mother to her nieces, and nephews and like a grandma to her great nieces and nephews.
LeAnne is survived by her mother, Beverly Russell of Battle Creek; two brothers, Jerry Russell Jr. of Shelby Twp., Michigan, and Robert Russell of Battle Creek, Michigan; step son, Brandon Earls of Indiana; step grandson, Eli Earls of Indiana; two nieces, Nena (Chad) Seifert, of Wahpeton North Dakota, Sarah (Mark) Ekkel, of Newaygo Michigan; two nephews, Jim Russell, of Kalamazoo Michigan, Jerry M. Russell, of Shelby Twp., Michigan; four great nieces, Gennerosity Ekkel, of LaGrange, Wyoming, Serennity Ekkel, of Newaygo, Michigan, Trinnity Ekkel, of Newaygo, Michigan, Samantha White, of Wahpeton, North Dakota, and great nephew, Aiden Ekkel, of LaGrange, Wyoming.
LeAnne was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Tata; father, Jerry D. Russell; husband, Barry L. Earls, and sister, Paula K. Saganek.
Final interment will be with her husband Barry at the Fort Custer National Cemetery in Battle Creek, Michigan at a later date.
