Linda Lou Garrett, 83, of Battle Creek, Michigan passed away peacefully on May 15, 2022 at Glenn Arbor Hospice with her loving husband by her side. Linda was born to Caryl and Reda (Simon) Knoblock on June 16, 1938. She attended Battle Creek schools and spent her career as a Nurse. After retirement she continued sharing her nursing skills with Home Healthcare and Hospice.

Linda married Paul Vincent Garrett, in 1975. She is survived by Paul and children, Tim Conrad, Rodger Conrad, Candi (Russ) Adkins, Rick Conrad; step-children, Andy Garrett (Pat), Jeff Garrett (Dottie); sister, Carol Ann Wilcox; 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and special nieces and nephews all of whom she adored.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Barbara Gilmore and Kay Seitler.

Linda was a kind and caring person with a beautiful smile that made you feel special. She enjoyed life, exuded love, warmth and compassion. She made sure you knew she was thinking about you, near or far, with phone calls or sending a sentimental gift. Her homemade gifts were special treasures.

She loved animals and had an affinity for nature. She was a long time member of the Binder Park Zoo. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, reading, live music, water aerobics, and frequenting the theater. She was a good cook and loved cooking for her family (special birthday dinners), and she always had a welcoming pitcher of iced tea on hand.

Committal and interment will be at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.

A private memorial is planned for a later date.
