Obituary for Lois J. Woolley

Lois Joy Woolley, 91, of Hickory Corners, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020. She was born on August 25, 1929, the daughter of the late Cleo F. Brown and Gena E. (Whitemore) Brown. She worked in the cafeteria at Gull Lake Middle School. Lois was a long time member of the Gull Lake Bible Church and always loved singing in the choir during services. Lois loved to cook, bake (especially cookies) and host family get-togethers. She deeply loved her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Lois is survived by her daughter, Sue (Fred) Cummins; two sons, Mark (Kimberly) Woolley and Steven (Talija) Woolley; seven grandchildren, Amy Colby, Andrew (Christie) Cummins, Sarah (Mike) Bryan, Matthew (Alisha) Woolley, Kristen (Josh) VanderWeide, Tiffany (David) Bongers and Brandon (Kristen) Woolley; ten great-grandchildren, Georgia, Kinley, Nehemiah, Lila, Iva, Claire, Myles, Charlie, Hazel, Harrison; sister-in-law, Mary Brown; nephew, David Brown; niece, Debi (Steve) Lewis and their daughter, Jenn Brown and dear friend and caregiver, Judy Bongers. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene Woolley of 67 years and brothers, Cleo Brown and Kenneth Brown.

In accordance with Lois' wishes, cremation has taken place and family memorial service will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions in Lois’ name may be made to Gull Lake Bible Church.
