Louis Joseph Rehnert, 95, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020. He was born on December 23, 1925, the son of Louis J. Rehnert and Ellen B. (Flanigan) Rehnert. He attended Catholic School as a child in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. Louis served in the U.S. Army; he entered in 1945 and retired in 1969. He then went on to work for the Postal Service and retired in 1989 after 20 years of service. Louis was lifelong member of VFW Post #1784, American Legion Post #298, and Moose Lodge of Illinois. Louis was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Battle Creek.

Louis is survived by five stepchildren, Edward Todaro of Buckeye, Arizona, Anthony Todaro of Abeline, Texas, Rita Davis of Battle Creek, Michigan, Sam Gorton of Battle Creek, Michigan and Gary Gorton of Encinintas, California; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren and a great great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Alycecea, Gertrude and Marguerite.

Louis enjoyed camping, traveling, wood working, walking and reading; especially about the Western US and the Second World War.

A graveside Service will be held at the Fort Custer National Cemetery.
