Obituary for Lynn Spencer Rupp

The family of Lynn Rupp are sharing the news of his passing on Friday, September 16, 2022. Lynn was born in Spencerville, Indiana to Walter and Amanda (Lederman) Rupp on October 5, 1939.
He leaves behind his wife, and 3 children; brother Gene and sister Karen (Hoag). He was preceded in death by two children; Douglas and Carla, brothers; Walter Jr. and Robert. Lynn's family moved to Quincy, Michigan when he was 6 months old. He graduated from Quincy High School and from there he went on to Green’s Barber College before beginning work in Battle Creek in 1959. He and his brother Gene owned Rupp’s Barber Shop in Level Park until he retired in 2002. He moved his chair and tools to his home to work part time and had time to play and travel with his wife Joyce (Coote) Rupp, whom he married in 1960. They have three surviving children; Tammy (Martin) Warren, Thomas (Meera) Rupp and Timothy (Michelle) Rupp. Eight grandchildren; Amy (Kenny) Tyson, Susie (James) Hazelwood, Andrew Warren, Emily, Spencer, Ava, Teo, and Isa Rupp. Also four great grandchildren; Haley (Zachary) Richards, Nicholas Tyson, Lydia, and Faith Hazelwood.
Lynn’s additional pastimes were reading and his collection of collections.
A celebration of life will take place in the spring of 2023.
