Obituary for Mark Jeffery Kartheu

Mark Jeffery  Kartheu
Mark J. Kartheu, age 63, passed away Sunday June 11, 2017 at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI. Mark was born November 4, 1953 in Petaluma, California to Ralph and Faye Kartheu. He graduated from Lakeview High School and worked at Paulson's Auto, at the Battle Creek Township office as a Police Dispatcher and retired from the City of Battle Creek's Water/Sewer Division. He had one daughter - Jennifer - married to Rob Askren. He leaves three cherished grandchildren - Alexus, Regan and William.
Mark enjoyed fishing - especially on Sonoma Lake, hunting, crossword puzzles and an occasional trip to the casino. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. He was a SAL member of the American Legion Post 298.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Faye Kartheu. He is survived by his sisters, Debby (Jim) Alday of East Leroy, MI and Sheri Roberts of Battle Creek, MI and nieces and nephews - Jason (Megan) Alday, Sara (Craig) Briscoe, Cory (Taylor) Roberts, Chelsea (Wade) Doty.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
