Marshall Lee Pulley III was born on January 10, 1950, to parents, Mildred Richardson Mitchell and Marshall Lee Pulley Jr. He passed away on February 23, 2023 at home surrounded by his family. Marshall lived in Battle Creek where he called home. He enlisted into the United States Army on January 16, 1969, during the Vietnam War. He served in the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1971 defending our country.
He was employed with the Kellogg's Company in Battle Creek in the warehouse for 30 years until retiring on January 1, 2000.
Marshall's favorite hobby was collecting Hot Wheels cars and building model cars, and trains. He owned a large collection of all sorts of Hot Wheels, model cars and trains and kept them throughout his house. Another one of his hobbies was buying sharp cars and keeping them up to top notch shape not a spot or knick on them. We referred to him as Mr. Charger because his cars were so sharp!
He married the love of his life in 1975, Ms. Pamela Lesley Pulley. She preceded him in death in 2015. In this union they raised a beautiful daughter, Ms. Crystal Lesley. Also, he had another daughter from a previous marriage, Ms. Shannon Pulley.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Richardson Mitchell; father, Marshall Lee Pulley Jr.; brother, William "Billy" Harris Sr.; and sister, Helen A. Gibson.
He leaves to cherish his memory his two beautiful daughters, Crystal Lesley and Shannon Pulley; grandchildren, Destiney (Dionte) Lesley, Heaven Lesley, Azia Wells, Styles Wells, Diamond Freeman; 7 great grandchildren; special friend, Valerie English; lifelong best friends, Robin (Che) Parker, Calvin Mitchell, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Baxter Funeral and Cremation Service on Friday, March 3, 2023, at 11:00 am.
Interment will take place immediately following the service at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
