Mary Etta Clark, 91, passed away on December 5, 2022 at The Villas at Winston Court in Marshall, MI surrounded by her family.
Mary was born in Stendal, IN on July 3, 1931 to the late H. Herbert and Ethel Tevault.
While in college, she met her husband, Ferdinand “Boots” Clark. They married in 1955, spending 67 years together. She is survived by her husband and their children, Tim (Leisa) Clark, Mark Clark, Teresa (David) Hoag, Beth (Gabriel) Rodriguez, Lisa (Dan) Brownell, and Steven (Mary Beckley) Clark; as well as her siblings, Jo Ann Wirey and Helen (Donald) Hauke and daughter-in-law, Debbie Clark.
Remembered lovingly by her grandchildren, Ben, Brandon, Melanie, David, Jeff, Tom, Isa, Elly, Karen, Jordan, Brandi, David, Amanda, Jennifer, Matthew, Joe, and Maggie; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mary joins her son, Christopher Clark; and siblings, Mabel, Ivan, Irene, George, Audie, Hardy, Doris, James and Marvin in eternal life.
A graduate of Lockyear Business College, Mary applied her industriousness and determination to many jobs over the course of her working life, making radio tubes, selling Avon products, working as a sales associate at Sears & Roebuck, and working in Defense Logistics for the US Air Force where she was proud to have achieved the highest civilian rank. She was also a talented seamstress sewing countless outfits and beautiful costumes for her children and grandchildren.
Mary cherished time spent with her husband Fred, with whom she shared a passion for world travel. They most recently settled in their home in Bradenton, FL at Palm Lake Estates, where she was a beloved member of the community.
Mary, a lifelong servant of God, was devoted to the Rosary and a member of the Legion of Mary at St. Joseph Catholic Church where she was a long time parishioner.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at the Baxter Funeral and Cremation Service from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with the Rosary service starting at 7:00 pm. Visitation also from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday, December 9, 2022 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at the St. Joseph Catholic Church on Friday, December 9, 2022 starting at 11:00 am with Father Chris Ankley officiating.
