Obituary for Mary Jacqueline Cornell (Handley)
Mary J. (Handley) Cornell, age 83 of Battle Creek, MI received her heavenly promotion on August 11, 2020 at the Farleigh's Senior Care Home. She was born in 1937 to Helen (Scamp) Handley and Jackson M. Handley.
Mary married Earl Cornell in 1956, this marriage brought two sons, Thomas and Daniel.
Mary graduated from Battle Creek Central High School. She was a Real Estate Investor and homemaker. She was a member of the Andrus Street Church of God for the last 47 years, serving God faithfully and supporting her church. She loved extending a hand to those in need.
Mary is survived by her son, Daniel of Battle Creek, and preceded in death by her Parents; Brother, Richard; Husband, Earl; and Son, Thomas.
A memorial service to celebrate Mary's life will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 starting at 12:00 pm, Noon, at the Andrus Street Church of God, 765 Andrus Street.
Final interment will take place at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens on East Michigan Avenue.
