Obituary for Mary Frances Hamlin

Mary Frances Hamlin, 93, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Laurels of Bedford. She was born on September 4, 1923, the daughter of Clarence Emmett Hamlin and Alice Churchill (Poole) Hamlin.
Mary was a graduate of Battle Creek Central High School with the Class of 1941. Mary has been an active member of Assembly of God Church's for the past 91 years. She served 50 years in the church choir at First Assembly of Battle Creek and also taught girls Sunday school for many years.
Mary is survived by her Brother, Harry (Jeanette) Hamlin, several nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family members including Cathy (Dusty) Sult. She was preceded in death by her Father, Clarence Emmett Hamlin, Mother, Alice Churchill Hamlin, Brother, Alfred Hamlin, Brother, Donald Hamlin, and Sister, Virginia Hamlin.
Mary loved doing word search puzzles in her spare time. She enjoyed craft days and exercise days at the nursing home. Mary especially enjoyed getting herself pampered, she loved getting her hair and nails done. Mary was always seen with a smile on her face that was contagious to everyone around her. Mary enjoyed Senior Week at Fahola Park and monthly senior activities with the church. Her main focus in life was her love and connection in God.
Visitation will be held at Fort Custer Christian Assembly, 301 Custer Drive, Battle Creek, MI 49037 on Saturday September 16, 2017 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
A Memorial Service will follow on Saturday, September 16, 2017 starting at 11:00 am.
Interment will take place in the Hicks Cemetery.
