Mary Joanne Harvey, 83, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Borgess Medical Center. She was born on May 18, 1935, the daughter of the late Herbert Allen Love and June Estelle (Hadley) Love. She married Richard Harvey on July 18, 1952, at Fort Custer. More than anything, Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother. She retired from the Battle Creek School System after 40 years of service as a cafeteria supervisor. Mary was a member of several Battle Creek community clubs and also worked as a volunteer for the Bedford Township's election board and Board of Review.

Mary is survived by her husband Richard; daughter, Denise Estelle (Kurt) Jensen; daughter-in-law, Margaret E. Harvey; grandchildren, Stephanie Jensen, Eric Harvey, Ryan (Megan) Harvey; great Grandchildren, Summer Murdick, Triston Murdick, Reese Parker, Tanner Harvey, Jack Harvey; brother, James Allen (Beverly) Love and aunts, Charlotte Swartz, Phylis Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Richard John Harvey.
